Willkommen am Traunsee
Wir starten heuer in die österreichische Regattasaison beim Segelclub Ebensee.
Der SCE ist Segel-Leistungszentrum des OÖ Landesverbandes und als eines der windsichersten Segelreviere Österreichs weit über die Landesgrenzen hinaus bekannt.
In den letzten Jahren hat der SCE verschiedenste seglerische Großveranstaltungen, darunter auch die Topcat WM, durchgeführt.
Die Winde am Traunsee erinnern an typische Thermikreviere.
Durch seine N-S Ausrichtung nördlich des Alpenhauptkammes sind bei ähnliche Wetterlagen, wie am Achensee oder Walchensee hohe Windwahrscheinlichkeit am Traunsee möglich.
Der Niederwind entspricht dabei dem typischen Wind am Tag/Nachmittag aus Nord. Schönes Wetter begünstigte den Niederwind zusätzlich.
Beim Oberwind aus südlicher Richtung und dem sogenannten Talwind, der in den Morgenstunden genutzt werden kann, steht vor Traunkirchen eine weitere sehr gute Regattamöglichkeiten bereit.
Das Rahmenprogramm bei der Traunseewoche mit „Schloss Ort“ bietet ein weiteres Event, die kein Topcat-Segler versäumen soll.

Welcome to Lake Traunsee
This year we start the Austrian regatta season at the Ebensee Sailing Club.
The SCE is the sailing performance centre of the Upper Austrian regional association and is known far beyond the country's borders as one of the most wind-safe sailing areas in Austria.
In recent years, the SCE has hosted a wide variety of major sailing events, including the Topcat World Championships.
The winds at Lake Traunsee are reminiscent of typical thermal areas.
Due to its N-S orientation north of the main Alpine ridge, high winds are possible at Lake Traunsee in weather conditions similar to those at Lake Achensee or Lake Walchensee.
The low wind corresponds to the typical day/afternoon wind from the north. Fine weather also favoured the low wind.
With the upper wind from the south and the so-called valley wind, which can be used in the morning hours, there is another very good regatta possibility off Traunkirchen.
The supporting programme at the Traunsee Week with "Schloss Ort" offers another event that no Topcat sailor should miss.
